alfa romeo milanoChrysler gave us a hint of the two Alfa Romeo car concepts with their viability plan given to US Congress. Currently, car spies caught a glimpse of one of the two concepts, the Milano, during its testing in Europe in the winter season.

This small, five-door car model has been built to substitute the Alfa Romeo 147. Originally, it was tagged with the code 149, but it will be named as the Milano when it is unveiled in the European car market late of 2009.

If Chrysler would eventually do collaboration with Fiat, it will be possible that the Milano would serve as the foundation of small cars that Chrysler could bring at American showrooms in the timeframe of 2011-2012.

The Alfa Romeo Milano would likely be revved up with T-jet gasoline engines and Multijet diesel engines, and this would be paired up with a choice of either a manual or automatic transmission. Optionally, the Milano will also be available as an all-wheel-drive, but the standard model will be as a front-wheel drive. To those who are dreaming of a three-door sports car, the Alfa’s MiTo model would be the perfect choice.

The Milano is measured with a total length of approximately 169 inches that is comparable to the Volkswagen Golf/Rabbit. There are also guesses that the Milano will make its debut in Frankfurt this September

Sources said to anticipate Chrysler’s 265-horsepower GTA as the next car model, following the Milano.
