I don’t get it. When I talk to friends of mine about my obsession with Alfa Romeo cars, they all seem to be kind of irritated at my adoration of a car maker that (according to them) makes cars that fall apart when you drive them over a cobble stone road…

I try to explain to them that buying an Alfa Romeo is NOT the same as buying a Porsche or a Lexus. Why? Well, basicly, the Alfa is a car lover’s car. The Porsches or the Lexuses are nice cars for you regular people… ^^

I always use the Alfa Romeo 159 as an example. It’s stylish, it’s got a decent engine, yet it’s priced pretty high mainly because us freaks just LOVE the MOJO the car has… Can you resist the Alfa Romeo 159 ti shown below?

I sure as hell can’t. Alfa’s are petrolheadcars. ^^

Are you the owner of a Alfa Romeo Spider? If yes, then you must be having some knowledge about the history of this car. Most car lovers try to find out more about the history of the car they are driving. It not only helps them to have more knowledge about their cars but also keeps them prepared in case some asks them more about the car that they are driving. There are also some people who can tell a bit about their car, but do not know the details.

Ask the owners of the Alfa Romeo Spider and most of them just do not know that the origin of the company that is manufacturing this car is in Italy. They shall not know that the company that manufactured their car originally started off as a French firm that later became an Italian one. There are very few people who drive the Alfa Romeo Spiders and yet know that this particular make of cars is a roadster model that was produced by the Italian manufacturer during the years 1966 to 1993.

The classic design of this car is what makes loved all over the world and this is the main reason that it remained in production for about 30 years. This car was released in a number of series and Pininfarina in a place called Grugliasco put the initial three series together. The Alfa Romeo Spider was first launched at the 36th Geneva Motor Show that was held in the year 1966.
